We are excited to announce a dynamic new partnership between WEOP and The Black Entertainment Economic Council (BEEC). The organization founded and led by Adiclere Evans, is a nonprofit advocacy organization committed to advancing economic development within the entertainment industry.

BEEC is kicking off the New Year with purpose, launching a high-impact, two-day “Vertical Micro-Series” Bootcamp on January 10–11, 2026. Day One (Saturday) is designed to bring together business owners, creative entrepreneurs, and filmmakers who want to understand how vertical filmmaking can be used as a powerful storytelling and as a marketing tool.

Day Two (Sunday) is a hands-on production day focused squarely for filmmakers and content creators. Participants will actively work on a vertical micro-series project, moving from concept to execution, while learning directly from a dynamic lineup of film and media professionals. These industry experts provides filmmakers with the opportunity to sharpen their craft, build portfolio-ready work, and stay competitive in today’s vertical-first digital landscape.

Brought to you by BEEC as part of its workforce development initiative, this strategic program is designed to help filmmakers level up their skills, support business owners in building meaningful industry connections, and bring together a diverse, collaborative creative community.
