ATLANTA (July 2020) — Atlanta-based non-profit, the Women’s Entrepreneurial Opportunity Project, Inc. (WEOP), today is pleased to announce the launch of Her Collective Voice, a women-led blog that aims to raise public consciousness about the priorities and issues concerning half of the country’s population.
Spearheading the new initiative, as Editor in Chief, is WEOP co-founder Antionette Ball. “The impetus for Her Collective Voice stemmed from the desire to provide women, of a broad range of cultures and backgrounds, a platform to share their perspectives,” said Ms. Ball. “As our nation has conversations about what future we hope to shape, it’s more urgent than ever that we amplify multiple and diverse voices of the female experience.”
Ms. Ball is joined by a team of remarkable women, who are eager to make Her Collective Voice a success. The team includes Editorial Director, Alexis Hauk, Assistant Editor, Gabrielle Harrigan, and Director of Teen Voices Pallavi Vemuri. A talented and diverse group of women will contribute to the blog as content writers.
Diversity and inclusion will remain at the forefront of Her Collective Voice’s agenda. Writers will tackle a range of subject areas — including politics, family dynamics, leadership, empowerment, economic justice, health, business, entertainment and community — from original and compelling angles. The content featured on the blog will also be promoted across social media channels.
About WEOP: WEOP is dedicated to the mission of promoting the economic advancement of minority women through innovative programming and model projects. As a woman-led organization, the programs are designed to support other women by providing access to resources, services, training, professional connections, and opportunities. The agency’s core principle is that every woman should have equal access to training, education and opportunities that will help them support their families financially and achieve economic self-sufficiency.
