Empowered Entrepreneurs: Residents of Atlanta Housing on the Road to Success!

After months of intensive training and invaluable coaching sessions, the residents of the Atlanta Housing Entrepreneurial training program reached a significant milestone in their entrepreneurial journey. To commemorate this achievement and provide further support on their path to success, students were invited to a “Business Showcase,” this special event coordinated by the Women’s Entrepreneurial Opportunity Project, Inc. (WEOP), the training partner for the Atlanta Housing, Resident Entrepreneurial Program.

The event was more than just a culmination of months of hard work and dedication, it symbolized a community coming together to uplift and empower its members, embodying the timeless adage, “It takes a Village.”

At the heart of the event was a gesture of generosity from Inspiredu, a community based nonprofit organization renowned for its commitment to innovation with technology-based learning tools and engagement activities for families, communities, and schools. Through their support, each participant was rewarded with a Laptop computer that is essential for business owners to keep connected to technology.

The highlight of the showcase was undoubtedly the presence of four dynamic entrepreneurs who took the stage to share their stories of triumph, resilience, and the lessons learned along their entrepreneurial journey. Latoya Southern, Southern Creative Consultants, Tracey William Hessaway, Accu-Clean Inc., Markela Taylor, The Coffee House and Ronnie Rose, Self-Healers Yoga. Ronnie was yet one of the students from the first cohort of the Atlanta Housing Entrepreneurial Program. Their insights not only inspired the audience but also provided invaluable guidance to those just starting out. Also present was the Training Instructor, Dr. Danette O’Neal, providing encouragement and words of wisdom.

The Atlanta Housing Entrepreneurial program is sponsored and conducted under the leadership of Rholanda Stanberry and the entire staff was present to support the entrepreneurs. This program further demonstrated an ongoing commitment to support and nurture the entrepreneurial spirit of Atlanta Housing Residents.

Thanks to the unwavering support of Atlanta Housing, Inspiredu, the dedication of the entrepreneurs who graciously shared their time and wisdom, the event was nothing short of a resounding success.

Indeed, it takes a village to nurture dreams, foster growth, and drive change. And as we reflect on this inspiring showcase of success and support, let us remember that together, we can achieve greatness, one entrepreneurial journey at a time.
