WEOP Signs Co-sponsorship Agreement with Small Business Administration (SBA)
On May 16, 2024, WEOP joined forces with the Small Business Administration (SBA) to conduct a business workshop titled “Unlocking Resources for Business Owners.” The workshop provided invaluable information on the following core topics: Contracting, Certifications, Micro-loans, and WOSB Certifications.
The following professionals from the SBA led the discussion: Terri Denison, Georgia District Director, Montez Diamond, Region 4 Advocate, Carol Thompson, Area Director of Government Contracting, and Jeffrey Patterson, Lender Relations. The expertise shared by the SBA professionals provided the audience with invaluable insights, resources and information about socio-economic programs.
The foundation for this partnership was the signing of a co-sponsorship agreement between WEOP and the SBA. This agreement signifies more than just a formal arrangement; it represents the SBA’s steadfast commitment to working alongside nonprofit organizations like WEOP to build a robust support network for women owned businesses.
As part of the co-sponsorship agreement, WEOP will conduct a series of specialized workshops on a range of important business topic with the shared commitment to empower businesses with critical resources and information. We encourage local business owners and entrepreneurs to take advantage of these opportunities. Together with the SBA, we are building a future where businesses of all sizes can thrive, innovate, and contribute to a prosperous economy.
In conclusion, our partnership with the SBA is a testament to what can be achieved when organizations come together and collaborate. We are excited about the future and the ways that we can support our business community through this partnership. Stay tuned for more information on our upcoming workshops and join us in this exciting journey towards business excellence!
